Sarà dedicata a Giuseppe Bonaviri, scrittore siciliano dal 1984 più volte segnalato al Premio “Nobel” per la letteratura, la giornata di studi del prossimo 6 marzo organizzata dall’omonima Fondazione (nata nel 1998 e con sede a Mineo, città natale dello scrittore) in collaborazione con l’Università “La Manouba” e l’Istituto Superiore di Lingue a Tunisi. L’ho trovato particolarmente interessante, oltre che per l’alto livello professionale, per il rapporto che riesce ad instaurare fra creatività artistica e degrado urbano, fra immaginazione al potere e potere senza immaginazione.

Se c’è una cosa che apprezzo in chi produce immagini è la
voglia/capacità di guardare ad altezza d’uomo, non cercare la linea
dell’orizzonte a tutti i costi, ma osservare con curiosità e
partecipazione
ciò che ha sotto gli occhi. Ed è quello che è stato fatto in questo
lavoro.

If there is something that I appreciate in who produces images it is it wants/ability to watch to height of man, not to try the line of the horizon at all costs, but to observe with curiosity and participation what that it has under the eyes. And it is what it has been made in this job.
